Individual Membership
Individual membership is open to everyone working in the tourism and travel industry, connected to it in any way, or actively interested in travel and tourism. Our aim is for the Society to be as inclusive as possible and for its members to represent the widest range of interests and experience within tourism.
If joining the Society as an undergraduate or a post graduate please join online below and then email us with your student number or other proof on membership@tourismsociety.org.
Fellows of the Tourism Society (FTS) are recognised as leaders and senior professionals in their field. The Society organises exclusive Fellows' Days, and Fellows propose possible new Board members.
If wanting to be considered for an upgrade from individual membership to Fellow you must meet the criteria listed below and apply directly to the Secretariat to be considered.
Criteria
- Have previously qualified as a Full Member of the Society and have held that status for not less than two years, AND
- hold, or have held, a senior position of responsibility in the tourism or travel industry, AND/OR
- can demonstrate a record of significant contributions in one or more sectors of tourism and leisure

By becoming a member of the Tourism Society you are agreeing that we may use photos/videos taken at TS events in which you feature on the TS website, its social media including YouTube, and offline in their publications. This material may also be used for promotional materials, publications, in articles and for marketing purposes or shared with media or trade press. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing membership@tourismsociety.org. though this will not apply to material already published.
You are also agreeing to Tourism Society being able to share your details with other members.

Group Membership
Five memberships included.
The package includes a minimum of five memberships to assign to selected members of your staff, who each have their own individual membership account set up with personal log in details. You can add any number of members up to a total of 10, all at the same discounted rate per person, though the minimum rate equates to five places.
The group organisation receives a separate listing towards the front of the printed annual membership directory.
