There are a number of active Tourism Society Chapters across the UK and also in Europe. These act as a great focus for local interests as well as providing opportunities for members to get together and discuss topics brought up in central Tourism Society events that they might not have been able to attend.

Chapter events are all listed on the main events calendar.

If you would like to establish a chapter in your area please contact the Secretariat for information.

Tourism Society Scotland (TSS) represents members from all sectors of travel and tourism and enjoys the support of a large committee as it strives to add value to Scotland-based Society members. The Scottish Chapter aims to deliver interesting and informative events on a range of topics that are designed to keep members’ industry knowledge up to date while also providing opportunities for networking. The opinions of members are regularly voiced – the Scottish Chapter was pleased to contribute articles for Tourism around the 2014 Scottish Referendum. Consultations are responded to as TSS seeks to contribute towards the tourism agenda in Scotland, and it has an active group on LinkedIn (click here) for discussions.

For further information, please contact Elected Chair, Ross Tinsley MTS at scotland@tourismsociety.org.

Tourism Society Wales was launched in November 2003 with the aim of providing a professional networking basis in Wales. Martin Roberts MTS (new current Chair) will be coordinating a programme of themed meetings underpinned by networking events. Some activities in the past were held in association with other professional bodies such as a Digital Marketing event, which was also of interest to members of the CIMA. The network has also introduced an annual award for an individual’s contribution to tourism in Wales.
