Corporate & Group Membership

The majority of our members join as individuals but we also have a number of companies in membership. The reasons they join vary - they might want to offer benefits to their staff or wish to take advantage of advertising opportunities, or a combination of these and others. We have a few approaches which are outlined below – these can be the starting point of finding the most suitable arrangement for your company, and we will be as flexible as possible so that everyone is happy.

Group Membership

The Tourism Society offers discounted group membership to organisations.

The package includes a minimum of five memberships to assign to selected members of your staff, who each have their own individual membership account set up with personal log in details. You can add any number of members up to a total of 10, all at the same discounted rate per person, though the minimum rate equates to five places.

The basic cost is £480 - 20% off the standard individual membership rate for the first five members.

The group organisation receives a separate listing towards the front of the printed annual membership directory, and each member is treated as an individual with benefits including:

  • Access to the members-only pages of the website www.tourismsociety.org
  • Discount on Tourism Society event tickets
  • Access to members’ discounts

Corporate Partnership - Silver is aimed at tourism businesses that want to raise their profile in the tourism field, enhance their networks and gain greater brand awareness within the Tourism Society. Businesses can take advantage of a straightforward way of providing membership to a number of staff, to help with their professional development, networking and as recognition of their contribution to your organisation’s work. There is a range of benefits which can be configured to suit each Corporate Partner’s requirements. A typical package could consist of:

  • Up to 5 individual memberships to assign to selected members of their staff, who will have an individual membership account set up and be entitled to all the usual individual membership benefits
  • Complimentary ticket to the Society’s Annual President’s Dinner and 2 other annual events excluding the conference
  • Discount on Tourism Society event tickets
  • Discount on event sponsorship opportunities
  • Networking functions that cultivate relationships between industry leaders
  • Recognition via the Tourism Society e-newsletter, website and social media channels
  • Access to posting job listings on TS website
  • Opportunities to share best practices with industry professionals
  • Access to academic research and industry articles
  • Optional committee participation (events, communications, TSPRN and TSDN)

The Corporate Partnership - Silver Package is agreed for two years and costs £1,000 p.a

Corporate Partnership - Gold

Corporate Partnership – Gold will appeal to businesses keen to link to a wide range of stakeholders. The Society can help provide a useful platform for this, for example with a dedicated event or session devoted to your company’s agenda. In addition, by including up to 10 complimentary memberships for staff, we recognise the importance of an employer’s being able to offer a fringe benefit connected to personal and professional development.

Each of your selected members of staff will be given an individual membership account and be entitled to all the usual individual membership benefits. Each Corporate Partnership - Gold package can be constructed to complement the company’s needs and could look like this:

  • Use of the Tourism Society logo on your website and communications tools
  • Dedicated emails to Society Members
  • Recognition via the Tourism Society e-newsletter, website and social media channels
  • Table for 10 at the Annual President's Dinner
  • Discount on Tourism Society event tickets
  • Access to the Tourism Society membership list for targeted outreach
  • Discount on event sponsorship opportunities
  • Speaking opportunities at conferences, workshops and seminars that focus on education within the travel and tourism sector
  • Networking functions that cultivate relationships between industry leaders
  • Access to posting job listings on TS website
  • Opportunities to share best practices with industry professionals
  • Access to academic research and industry articles
  • Optional committee participation (events, communications and more)
  • Company Partnership - Gold Package price: £3,000p.a, signed up for two years
