Bio My name is Jon Walsh and I have been involved with teaching all levels of tourism academia for over 20 years, both in the UK and in New Zealand. I am currently working remotely for an organisation called The International College of London. I have previously worked as an Academic Advisor at the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT) in New Plymouth on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island and as a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Marketing and Management at the Pacific International Hotel Management School (PIHMS) in New Plymouth, New Zealand. I have been living in New Zealand since 2011 and I am originally from Warrington in Cheshire. I completed my Leisure Management, Bachelor of Arts (Hon.) degree at the University of Manchester in 2003 and my Tourism and Leisure Master of Arts degree at Lancaster University in 2004. At the end of February 2023, my wife and I have started what we hope to be a two year trip around Asia, Europe, Scandinavia and the UK.
