Bio I have 30 years’ experience in the tourism industry having worked in many different areas including hotels, economic development and for the last 20 years in tourism consulting. I am a past chairman of the Tourism Society a membership organisation with 400 members and 14,000 LinkedIn followers. We recently submitted a paper to DCMS asking the Govt for an inquiry into tourism structures and recently I spoke about this issue across the media including Sky News and LBC. I am a previous HLF committee member and was a member of the North East Tourism Advisory Board advising the RDA (One NorthEast) on tourism policy and strategy. My colleagues and clients tell me I am strategic, clear thinking and persuasive, and very able to represent my areas of expertise in meetings with clients, stakeholders and board members. As a Tourism Business Planning consultant, I have a strong focus on commercialisation and have worked with DMOs across the country on revenue generation projects.
