President’s Dinner (6.30 PM – 10:00 PM) – 11 September 2024 (NEW DATE):
The Annual Tourism Society President’s Dinner planned for 20 June 2024, featuring marine biologist Monty Halls as after-dinner speaker has to be postponed to 11 September, due to the recently announced elections in the UK which have changed the President’s availability.
The new date for this exclusive event to be held in London is 11 September. If you have purchased a ticket you will be contacted directly by the secretariat.
During the evening, the Tourism Society will have the honour of presenting Lord John Thurso with the prestigious Tourism Society Tourism Award for his outstanding contributions to the industry over the last 50 years including President of the Tourism Society since 2000.
Monty Halls is a renowned broadcaster, speaker, naturalist, former Royal Marine, marine biologist, travel writer and leadership specialist. His experience covers over two decades of leading teams in some of the most remote environments on earth, presenting wildlife and adventure documentaries, and working with blue chip companies both in the UK and overseas. He will share many entertaining anecdotes. (AWAITING CONFIRMATION)
The evening will start with a drinks reception sponsored by our corporate partner Equator Global. There will be a three-course meal and wine, with coffee and petit fours to wind down the evening.
