On 16 March 2026, Deborah Heather—Chair of the Tourism Society, CEO of Visit Isle of Man, and owner of QIA Services—participated in an invitation-only educational session hosted by Wonderful Copenhagen on their CopenPay project. The session, organised by Destination Think, a global consortium of destinations of which Visit Isle of Man is a member, focused on innovative approaches to sustainable and responsible tourism.
Deborah will share practical insights into the CopenPay project, outlining its purpose, development journey, and measurable outcomes, and highlighting its relevance for destinations seeking to align visitor engagement with positive local impact. Deborah and Alison Cryer will then jointly lead a facilitated discussion and Q&A, designed to explore how the principles behind CopenPay can be adapted and applied by other destinations and organisations.
